Portaledge Camping

A portaledge is a deployable hanging tent system designed for rock climbers who spend multiple days and nights on a big wall climb. An assembled portaledge is a fabric-covered platform surrounded by a metal frame that hangs from a single point and has adjustable suspension straps. A separate cover, called a stormfly, covers the entire system in the event of bad weather. A climber should practice setting up his ledge a few times before doing so on the wall. Often it’s much more difficult to set up a portaledge while hanging off of an anchor. Luckily, everything is completely connected and so even if a climber is setting up his ledge for the first time while 1,000 feet off the ground, at least he won’t lose any of the pieces. Look at this awesome climbing adventure these two brave fellows. Not only do they do a pretty extreme climb, but they manage to film their view, cooking dinner and drinks.

I’m extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to
see a great blog like this one nowadays.
